Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Unit is asking local residents to share their views on the Public Consultation Draft of their new 2016-2021 Management Plan. Over 300 responses were received during an informal 12 week consultation during Summer 2015, seeking views on the use and gaps of the current Cornwall AONB Management Plan 2011-2016.  These valuable comments have helped in the writing of the Public Consultation Draft of the new 2016-2021 Plan. Indian Queens and Landulph Refurbishment

National Grid will be carrying out essential refurbishment of the overhead line between the Indian Queens and Landulph substations during 2016. The 50km route has 145 pylons. NG has already written directly to farms which will be affected by the work to get permissions for access. However, there will be some road disruption to some local roads starting in April 2016, and finishing by late autumn 2016. National Grid power line refurbishment

During 2016, National Grid will carry out essential refurbishment of the overhead line between the Indian Queens and Landulph Substations. This will take place across a 50km route of 145 pylons. A Google Map is available on our website that shows the route. Your electricity supply will not be affected by this work. Preparation work will begin in January 2016. Tesco Local Community Scheme launches 19 October 2015

We’re delighted to announce that the money raised from the 5p bag charge in Tesco stores in the UK will be used to pay for a large number of local projects to improve green spaces in communities right across the UK. Projects that will get the green light as a result of the funding will include building new pocket parks, sports facilities, woodland walks and community gardens. Devon & Cornwall Police have asked the parish council to make residents aware of some of the dangers surrounding invasive plants such as Japanese knotweed, and changes in the law which compel the police to take action against people who do not take steps to control their growth.
