Carrivick Sisters concert a great success!

Menheniot was treated to a terrific concert by the Carrivick Sisters on Friday night, 17th May in the church. Identical twin sisters Charlotte and Laura Carrivick grew up in Devon, playing and writing music together. Their unique style shows their strong bluegrass influences without obscuring their English roots. With tight harmonies that only siblings can achieve, they perform their original songs on guitar, fiddle, mandolin, dobro and clawhammer banjo. Sally’s Specials starting in March

From 30th March there will be a new dining opportunity in the village. Sally’s Specials will be available in The Old School Menheniot on the fourth Friday of each month between 6pm and 8.30pm. This will run alongside the Supper Club, which will now take place on the second Friday of each month between 6pm and 8.30pm. CHURCH WINDOW APPEAL The Vicar and Church Wardens wish to announce a fund raising effort to try and repair sympathetically the windows of the Village Church. Unfortunately, although stone, they are suffering from the ravages of time. The windows most at risk are the windows to the North and South side that are constructed of Polyphant stone, very easy to work by stone masons but not very durable.
