Your Views on Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Feb 7, 2016

Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Unit is asking local residents to share their views on the Public Consultation Draft of their new 2016-2021 Management Plan.

Over 300 responses were received during an informal 12 week consultation during Summer 2015, seeking views on the use and gaps of the current Cornwall AONB Management Plan 2011-2016.  These valuable comments have helped in the writing of the Public Consultation Draft of the new 2016-2021 Plan.

The closing date for comments is midday on Monday 21st March 2016.  Comments will then be collated and considered and will form part of the supporting evidence base for the Final Version of the Management Plan which will be published in early Summer 2016, following consideration and adoption by Cornwall Council.

You can comment on the Public Consultation Draft via an online survey which can be found by clicking here.

The Draft Plan can be viewed at www.cornwallaonb.org.uk/management-plan.

You will need to refer to the Draft Plan PDF when answering the questions, but links to the relevant sections are also provided next to each of the questions in the survey.

They are looking for comments on the Strategy section, Policies and the 12 Local Sections.  In addition to the Full Draft Plan document on the website, there are also separate PDFs for the individual sections on the website which will help if you only wish to comment on certain sections.  You do not need to answer all of the questions, please complete as many questions as you wish/as is relevant to you/your local area of interest.

The survey is also available via www.cornwallaonb.org.uk/management-plan as a Word document and PDF to download or print. Once completed it can be returned to the Cornwall AONB Unit via info@cornwall-aonb.gov.uk or post to the Cornwall AONB Unit, Room 11, Block D3, Carrick House, Pydar Street, Truro, Cornwall, TR1 1EB.

Any questions, please call the Cornwall AONB Unit on 01872 322350 or email info@cornwall-aonb.gov.uk
