The Bus Is Back | New services announced 4 September 2023

Saltash Red Bus and Cornwall Council has agreed to increase the number of bus services operating out of Menheniot, starting on Monday 4 September 2023.

The 453 will run on Monday from Menheniot to Liskeard, the 451 will run on Wednesdayfrom Menheniot to St Germans, and the current 451a running on Friday will no longer stop at Menheniot railway station.

Next Parish Council Meeting 18 January 2024 7pm

The next scheduled meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Thursday, 18 January 2024 at 7pm at The Old School, Menheniot PL14 3QY.

Vacancy for parish councillor

Notice is hereby given that by reason of a recent resignation, there is one vacancy among the members of the Parish Council. Any persons willing to fill this vacancy should apply to the Clerk in writing on or before the next council meeting. Interviews with candidates will take place at a council meeting that is held in The Old School, Menheniot.

The applicant’s name must appear on the current register of the Voters List or the applicant should during the whole of the twelve months preceding the relevant date have resided in or within three miles of the parish or the applicant’s only place of work during the whole of the twelve months preceding the relevant date is in the parish.

The applicant must not be debarred from standing as a Councillor.
Public elections cannot be held until May 2025 but for the interim period the present sitting Councillors may co-opt to fill the vacancy.
